Finding Myself Again: A Journey to Self-Discovery

Have you ever felt lost or disconnected from yourself? ✋🏾

Life can get so overwhelming that it's easy to get caught up in the chaos and forget who we are and what we want. The good news is that you can always find yourself again. It's NEVER too late to begin a journey of self-discovery.

Embarking on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth after a period of people-pleasing and losing myself in previous relationships and marriage was a courageous step for me. I had to recognize the need to prioritize my own well-being and reclaim my sense of self again if I wanted to live a peaceful, fulfilling, and authentic life.

If you are still reading…then this blog post is for you …..

Every journey is unique to each individual. One thing I do know is that you have to take that first step in anything to see better results.

Here are just a few steps I want to share with you that helped me along my journey:

The first step is to slow down. Yes! Do you have a space that you can just go to when you need that quiet moment? Did you say no? Well, create that space for yourself. I had to. I was told to be still so guess what I took a break from daily routines and allowed myself to be alone with my thoughts. This can be a scary step for some, but it's essential for self-discovery.

Next, in order to get better I had to do better. You know how the saying goes when you know better, you do better. Change some habits that couldn't continue if I wanted to change. I started a new hobby. I became a couponer. I stepped outside of my comfort zone and challenged myself to gain financial freedom. So try some new things. You might discover a new passion or interest that you never knew existed.

Lastly, it's crucial to be careful of your surroundings when embarking on your journey of self-discovery. It’s so important to connect with others that will benefit your growth and your future and not your past. Surround yourself with people who support and encourage you.

Remember, just like healing, self-discovery is a journey, not a destination. It's a process of learning, growing, and evolving. Embrace the ups and downs, and be patient with yourself. Celebrate your progress and acknowledge your challenges.

As you find yourself again, you may discover that your priorities and values have shifted. That's okay. Embrace the changes and continue to grow. The most important thing is to stay true to yourself and live a life that aligns with your future and next chapter.
